On Monday night at the committee meeting two motions were moved and passed in relation to the extra ordinary service given to the community.

1-The committee would like to acknowledge and thank the patrols this season especially the members who were on the Australia day week. The numbers of people who attended the beach was record breaking and the proactive and reactive work was outstanding. This was noticed by members of the public who have called to thank the club for the service provided.

2-The committee wish to acknowledge and congratulate our Club Cpatain Morgan Clarke and Wollongong Club Captain Shannon Fox who on Saturday 23rd of January were called out for a person in trouble off Wollongong Beach at night. They attended to find Police and others on the shore front and a male in trouble some 100 metres in the surf. They both entered the water with a rescue tube and were guided to the patient by the light of a Police torch. They secured the male and returned him to shore. The courage and skill by both lifesavers was extraordinary.
