It is with great sadness that such a tragic incident has happened on our beach. We send our condolences to the family!
We also wish to send our thanks to our members who helped, the board riders being the first responders & all emergency service personal involved.
It is a tragic reminder to swim only when flags are up and swim between them.

#MEMBERSPOTLIGHT// Representing Woonona for the first time the "sexy buoys rowing club" competed last saturday the 14th of November. The boys names in boat order front to back Nic Paniagua, Luke Powell, Matthew Fairweather, Patrick Chapman and Eon Chapman on the sweep oar.

The word on the beach was it had been a while since anyone had seen a Woonona surf boat.

They weren’t disappointed getting in the top 10 on the day. The boys also picked up a $500 lucky door prise at the presentation.

All in all a good trip looking forward to the next one at Gerringong 5th of December.
