Joining Woonona SLSC
Surf life saving is an activity that you can participate throughout all stages of your life – you can participate through the junior (Nippers) ranks, be an age manager for the nippers, provide water safety for the nippers, coach or officiate, become a part of the administration/committee, help out with our fundraising efforts or help cook the BBQ at nippers!
Woonona SLSC have a number of membership options available – active members provide patrolling services to the beach whilst non-active members can still have a valued roll in the club without having to get wet! No matter who you are, or what your background is, everyone is welcome in Surf Life Saving and there is a role for everyone no matter your skill level.
As a member of a Surf Life Saving club you can take pride in the fact that you are part of one of the largest community volunteer organisations, with over 35,000 volunteers across Australia. As an active member, providing Surf Patrols, you will be well trained, professional and dedicated to providing a vital community service to both Australian residents and visitors to our beach.
Being a member you will gain the opportunity to enhance your fitness and engage in competitions such as racing IRB’s (Inflatable Rescue Boats), row a surf boat, compete in surf lifesaving carnivals just to name a few. On top of this, you will get to build new friendships and network with like minded, fun people like yourself in a very family friendly and orientated atmosphere.
So what are you waiting for? We cant wait to meet you!!!!
